TikTok
SocialPrez posts a single video straight to your TikTok profile, using TikTok's own Content Posting API.
What it does
- Post a video to your own TikTok profile — you pick who can see it, whether comments/Duet/Stitch are allowed, and any paid-partnership disclosure, then submit once; SocialPrez publishes it, you don't need TikTok or the app open at post time.
- Save your usual settings and offer them again on a later post with one tap — but you always pick the privacy option by hand on every single post, on purpose (see Rules below).
- Check your TikTok display name, avatar, and your account's own posting restrictions before every post, so the settings screen never offers a choice your TikTok account can't actually use.
- Show you live status while TikTok processes your video — Uploading, then Processing on TikTok, then Published.
- Read per-video view/like/comment/share counts for videos set to Everyone, and your account's total follower/following/likes/video counts.
What SocialPrez does not do on TikTok:
- SocialPrez does not read or show TikTok comments.
- SocialPrez does not send drafts to your TikTok inbox.
- SocialPrez never posts without you tapping Submit on that specific post.
Permissions
Every permission TikTok shows on the consent screen, in plain English.
Your data
What SocialPrez reads: Your TikTok display name and avatar; your account's posting restrictions (part of posting, not a separate permission); your public video list and counts; your account's follower/following/likes/video totals. SocialPrez never reads TikTok comment text.
What SocialPrez stores: Your TikTok account id, display name, and avatar; your access and refresh tokens (encrypted, server-side only — never sent to your phone); which permissions you actually granted; and, per post, your chosen privacy/comment/Duet/Stitch/disclosure settings and TikTok's own video id once known.
What SocialPrez never does: SocialPrez never posts without your own Submit tap on that specific post, never sends your access token to your phone, never reads TikTok comment text, and never picks a privacy level for you — you always choose.
Rules
No default privacy level
A “Choose who can see this TikTok post” prompt keeps Submit disabled until you pick one, every time — privacy is chosen by hand for every post, with no default, even when you reapply your other usual settings.
Comments, Duet, and Stitch start off
These toggles default off until you turn them on for that post; a toggle is disabled if your own TikTok account has restricted it.
Content disclosure
A “Disclose this content” toggle offers two labels: “Your Brand”, which marks your post “Promotional content”, and “Branded Content”, which marks it “Paid partnership”.
Branded content cannot be private
If you check Branded Content, the “Only me” privacy option turns off, and vice versa. Your Brand alone doesn't have this restriction — that can still be private.
Two consent lines before you post
“By posting, you agree to TikTok's Music Usage Confirmation”, and if Branded Content is checked, “By posting, you agree to TikTok's Branded Content Policy and Music Usage Confirmation”.
Processing takes a few minutes
After you submit, a notice says this may take a few minutes to appear on your profile, with live status updates.
Usual settings are never auto-applied
Your saved settings are only ever offered — you tap “Apply my usual settings” yourself on each post, and privacy is always a fresh, explicit pick.
Disconnect
In SocialPrez: Settings → Connected Account(s) → Disconnect next to your TikTok account. This deletes SocialPrez's stored access and refresh tokens immediately.
On TikTok: Disconnecting inside SocialPrez does not revoke the grant on TikTok's side. To fully remove SocialPrez's access on TikTok, open the TikTok app and go to your profile menu, then look for the setting that manages third-party app permissions (TikTok may change the exact wording or location of this setting over time).
Limits
- Every post from this app — for every customer, right now — is made private by TikTok itself, regardless of the privacy option you pick, until TikTok has approved the app for public posting. You still choose a privacy option on every post; TikTok's own servers are what keep it private in the meantime.
- Per-video view/like/comment/share numbers only show for a video set to Everyone; since every post is private today (see above), those numbers are not shown for any post today.
- Comments from TikTok are not shown in SocialPrez — not a setting you can turn on.
