How SocialPrez turns comments into insight

Reach and engagement tell you WHAT happened. SocialPrez's AI job reads what your audience actually wrote and turns it into a per-post summary — real signal, real quotes, never invented text.

This is our flagship AI capability — this page explains how it actually works, not just what it looks like.

What you get, per post

Every published post with comments gets its own summary card — not one pooled number for your whole account.

A sentiment badge

Positive, mixed, negative, or quiet — a fast read on how a specific post landed with the people who commented on it.

What kind of comments came in

Each comment is labeled — see the signal categories below — so you can tell a pile of praise apart from a pile of questions at a glance.

Real quotes, never invented

Up to two actual comments are shown alongside the summary, so you can always check the AI's read against what was really said.

One clear next step

An action line built from whichever signal came up most on that post — so you know what to look at first.

The five comment signals

Every comment on a post is checked against these — a comment can match more than one, or none.

Lead Complaint Question Praise Risk

Nothing is auto-replied to and nothing is moderated on your behalf — SocialPrez reads and summarizes, it never posts a reply, sends a DM, or deletes anything for you.

How the analysis actually works

Not a black box — here's the real pipeline, end to end.

  1. Comments come in from every platform you've connected. Instagram and Facebook comment reads are rolling out, pending each platform's own approval process; Threads is next, once Meta ships a comments API for it. TikTok comment reads aren't available — TikTok doesn't offer that access to apps like ours. Access is permissioned and read-only; SocialPrez only reads comments on accounts you've connected.
  2. A deterministic pass cleans the batch before any AI sees it. Exact duplicates, single-emoji reactions, near-duplicate phrasing, and repeat comments from the same person in a thread are collapsed — no AI involved in this step — so the analysis reflects distinct voices, not repeat noise.
  3. An AI job labels what's left. Each surviving comment is classified against the five signals above, with the exact supporting text kept alongside the label. The AI's only job is to read and label — it has no access to your account, billing, or any action that could publish, message, or delete anything.
  4. Per-post sentiment is derived by plain code, not another AI call. The sentiment badge and the action line are computed deterministically from the labels — same input, same output, every time, and reproducible from history without re-running anything.
  5. It fans out across your business, not into one number. Each connected account, each connected platform, and each published post gets analyzed and shown on its own — a busy Instagram account's comments never get blended into a quiet Facebook page's summary, and one loud post never drowns out the rest.
  6. Trends carry forward without re-reading old comments. Each run remembers a compact record of what it already found, so the next run can track what's still active without paying to re-process comments it already read.

Built to be honest about what it can't guarantee

Quotes, not just claims

Every summary is shown next to real comment text, so you can always verify it against what your audience actually said instead of taking the AI's word for it.

Read-only, always

The AI that reads your comments cannot publish posts, send messages, or delete anything — structurally, not just by policy.

Plain text, never executable

Comment text is untrusted input. Everything the AI outputs is displayed as plain text — no links, no formatting, no embedded code — so nothing in a comment can act on your account.

What each plan gets

No plan is left out — Free gets every analytics section for the last 7 days, not a locked screen.

Free

A weekly summary covering the last 7 days.

Pro

A weekly summary covering a 90-day window, delivered in your weekly email digest too.

Max

A fresh summary every day, still covering a 90-day window, in the app and in both the weekly and monthly email digests.

Rolling out on every plan

Comment-based insights depend on comment access from Instagram and Facebook, which requires each platform's own app-review approval before it can go live — we're completing that process now. TikTok doesn't offer comment access to apps like ours, so comment-based insights aren't available there. Analytics and plain-language per-post insights from your own view counts and engagement are already live on every plan today.
