Threads
SocialPrez connects to Threads with its own sign-in (separate from Facebook/Instagram, even though Threads is a Meta product) and publishes a single image per post.
What it does
- Publish a single image to your Threads profile.
- Schedule a Threads post ahead of time, using SocialPrez's own scheduler — Threads itself has no native scheduling.
What SocialPrez does not do on Threads:
- Video posts, text-only posts, and carousels are not supported today, even though Threads' own API allows them.
- SocialPrez never writes or posts a reply on Threads — no permission for that is ever requested.
- SocialPrez never posts to Threads without you creating or scheduling that specific post.
Permissions
Every permission Threads shows on the consent screen, in plain English.
Your data
What SocialPrez reads: Your Threads user id, username, and profile picture; once analytics is enabled for your connection, per-post views/likes/replies/reposts/quotes/shares; once reply-reading is enabled, the reply text and metadata under your own posts.
What SocialPrez stores: Your Threads account id, username, avatar, and access token (encrypted, server-side only — never sent to your phone); which permissions you actually granted; numeric metrics for posts you published.
What SocialPrez never does: SocialPrez never stores your Threads password, never requests permission to post a reply, and never posts a Threads post you did not create or schedule yourself.
Rules
Caption length
Up to 500 bytes of UTF-8 text.
Post type
A single image only — no video, no text-only posts, no carousels.
Image format
JPEG or PNG, up to 10 MB.
Disconnect
In SocialPrez: Settings → Connected Account(s) → Disconnect next to your Threads account. This deletes SocialPrez's stored access token and connection immediately.
On Threads: Disconnecting inside SocialPrez does not revoke the grant on Threads' side. To fully remove it, open Threads or your Meta Accounts Center, go to your account settings, and look for “Apps and websites” (the exact menu wording and location can change over time on Meta's side).
Limits
- Analytics (views, likes, replies, reposts, quotes, shares) and reply reading are not yet available to customers generally — that access has not yet been approved by Meta. Until it is, only SocialPrez's own registered testers see those features.
- Video, text-only, and carousel posts are not built into SocialPrez today, even though Threads' own API supports all three.
